The Village Arts Festival usually takes place in June, in Batalha village. The cultural event aims to stimulate and challenge families and tourism to enjoy material heritage and preserve intangible heritage through the circulation of artists, repertoires and their records.
The festival features heritage music, exhibitions, conferences and workshops.
Artists, works of traditional Portuguese music, jazz and world music are presented over three days in one of the most important national monuments, the Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória - a UNESCO World Heritage.
Free admission (festival accreditation required).
